REVIEW : COSRX AHA7 WHITEHEAD POWER LIQUID

Raise your hand if you do not have whiteheads on you face! And I would definitely keep my hands on my pocket because of whitehead episodes that I had, have and may be will have. Whiteheads for me such as long term problems along with acnes. Medical news Todays gives us a clear definition about it : "whiteheads are kind of sebaceous plugs or comedones. They are formed of dead skin cells, oil, and bacteria that block the pores in the skin". In addition, why can happens is not entirely understood, but hormonal fluctuations have impact. These can be due to puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, and stopping the use of oral contraceptives. High production of oily substance called sebum that protects the skin also a factor. On the other hand, using certain cosmetic and other facial products, clothing, high levels of humidity and sweating would increase the chance of acne also (Medical news Today, 2017). 

However, washing the skin gently twice daily with mild soap and lukewarm water may help. Another strategies that people with whiteheads and acne can use at home and prevent it like avoiding squeezing pimples or excessively touching the skin, using oil-free skin products, removing makeup before going to bed and for me, using COSRX AHA 7 WHITEHEAD POWER LIQUID is the main key! COSRX AHA 7 WHITEHEAD POWER LIQUID REVIEW

There is always question that comes up in our head when we see the name like “what is Power Liquid mean? Is that a toner? Essence? Serum? Or whuutt?”. Power Liquid is actually a exfoliation acid not a toner, okay? The product comes with thin, slippy, clear liquid with quite fishy smell.

Packaging : COSRX AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid comes with a clear bottle and pump. It is quite safety because the bottle is formed by thick plastic so you can freely bring it wherever you are. The label on the bottle also very simple like other COSRX products and inform the function of it.

Claims : AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid is formulated to resurface the skin and renew the compleion, giving a radiant and reduce the appearance of whiteheads. It dissolves the bonds between dead skin cells to enable faster cell turnover, reducing acne and lightly hydrating.

Suited for : dry skin, combination skin, and the ones who are suffering with acne scar..

Do not use if you are : using other products contain Benzoyl Peroxide or other antimicrobial agents, sensitive with Glycolic acid or anything else in the ingredients list.

When and where to use : after washing up your face with face cleanser and toner (if you use it), use COSRX AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid to your face. If you use the BHA Blackhead Power Liquid also, use the AHA after BHA.

If you do not using toner after cleansing your face with face cleanser, make sure your face is already dried. Because AHA dissolves in the water. As a morning routine, do not forget to apply your sunscreen with minimum SPF 30/PA+++ because exfoliator is really sensitive with sun light.

Ingredients : This is the reason why I really love COSRX. They use minimum ingredients and focus on the main ingredient yet very promising.

"Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycolic acid, water, Niacinamide, Sodium Hydroxide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Xanthan Gum, and Ethyl Hexanediol."

The product contains Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Water instead of a normal water. Butylene Glycol as a solvent and moisturizer. The main ingredient is Glycolic Acid (AHA) as an exfoliator and whitening agent. Not only having GA as a whitening agent, COSRX also includes Niacinamide as an agent for brightening.

As an exfoliator, AHA7 Whitehead Power Liquid also helps to moisturize our skin because it contains Panthenol and Sodium Hyaluronate or Hyaluronic acid which able to hold 1000 times water weight to keep our skin moisturized! Another Sodium ingredient is Sodium Hydroxide as a pH adjuster. The rest of ingredients such as 1,2-Hexanediol, Xanthan Gum and Ethyl Hexanediol are working as solvents and viscosity control.

CosDNA Analysis : they have Butylene Glycol as solvent and moisturizer. In some cases (rarely enough), can trigger acne. The rest of ingredients are totally fine.

Performance : I use this product about 2 pumps everyday both in my morning and night routine. The smell is not to strong. I still remember the first time I use this product, I felt a little bit stung but was just for a few minutes. After using AHA form COSRX, I feel like it helps moisturize my skin even though it is an exfoliator. I found that is because of a few moisturizer agents are contained.

when you apply on your skin and look at that! It is sooo runny like water.

I use this product for months and I should say that I LOVE THIS PRODUCT SO MUCH. Why? Because every morning I will have a bright and plump skin. Whenever I feel like my skin is dull, I always use a toner to wipe up my night skincare using a cotton pad and like a magic, I can see the dead skin on the cotton pad! So yeah right after that I can find my skin is brighter and lighter.

I only use cotton pad to apply this product once a week. and I will use my lovely bare hands to apply it on my daily routine. Cotton pad is one of physical exfoliation and I would definitely reduce the amount of it. And another reason is because I won't buy too much cotton pad and wasting the product HAHAHAHA

OH I SHOULD SAY THAT MY ACNE SCARS ARE ALSO FADED. Of course lah because I do not have any dead skin cell on my face again. 

Conclusion : I would definitely recommend this product for you who have dry skin. Dry skin is potentially have a dull skin because of the amount of dead skin cell on your face. COSRX AHA7 Whitehead Liquid Power would help you to get over it.
